Abstract

I will describe supersymmetric Yang-Mills theories for particle interactions coupled to N = 1 supergravity. I will give the most general Lagrangian which fulfils the requirement of local supersymmetry and the Higgs and superHiggs effects will be studied, the latter being responsible for the gravitino mass generation.
