Swept-Gain Superradiance in CO2-Pumped CH3F
Since the first experiment by Feld et al. [1, 2] further experimental studies of FIR superradiance have been carried out by Rosenberger, Petuchowski and DeTemple, this time in the homogeneously broadened pressure regime of CO2 pumped CH3F. At about the same time, experimental observations of superradiance and superfluorescence were reported in the near IR spectral region in metal vapors by a number of investigators working independently.
