One-Dimensional Lattice Model of Superradiance

Abstract

A one-dimensional lattice version of the interaction of matter with the radiation field is given.The relevance of the model for Superradiance is shown by exhibiting the spontaneous build-up of macroscopic polarization in a purely quantum mechanical framework.
