Degenerate Parametric Amplification Process; A Path-Integral Approach

Abstract

In an earlier paper we developed a formalism for applying path integrals to certain problems in nonlinear optics [1]. We presented a path-integral representation for the coherent-state propagator and discussed the properties of the propagator. The path-integral representation of the propagator allows one to see more clearly than the standard operator approach the connection between the classical and quantum dynamics of the system.
