Some Problems of the Use of P-Wave Dynamics to Find the Velocity Profile of the Upper Mantle

  • G. V. Golikova

This paper presents a numerical study of effect on the amplitude-distance curve of body waves caused by a discontinuity in the velocity gradient at a certain depth. The study was made with an elementary model; two layers with different gradients. The results can be used for more complicated models.
