A Model for SS433 Involving Radiatively Driven Clouds
It is a great pleasure for me to talk to this audience on a strange celestial object SS433. SS433 is one of the strangest astronomical phenomena discovered in the 1970’s. Up to now the astrophysists do not claim to understand it completely. Perhaps the ultimate answers will shed light on subjects ranging from the nature of extragalactic sources to the fate of stars in supernova explosions. In this article I shall present its bizzare behavior and mention some of the different theories. I shall also introduce a model for this object proposed by G.Börner and myself.
