Possible Relationship between Plasma Lipids and Hormonal Steroids

  • A. Svanborg

In order to investigate a possible influence of hormonal steroids on plasma lipids, we have simultaneously analysed plasma lipid concentration and the urinary excretion of ll-desoxy-17-ketosteroids and estrogens in healthy individuals. In addition, plasma neutral steroid sulphates were analyzed in patients with essential hereditary hypercholesterolemia.
