Abstract

The primary or basic type of oligophrenia includes those cases in which maldevelopment of the most complex forms of perception (which require a certain definite capacity for abstraction and generalization) is not associated with any gross lesion of any particular analyzer nor with any gross primary lesion of the subcortical regions.
