In August, the evenings get darker sooner while they remain mild. Right after dusk, the magnificent Milky Way displays its complete splendor from Sagittarius in the lower southwest over Cygnus at the zenith to Cassiopeia near the northeastern horizon. The objects for this month all lie in the galactic front yard of our Solar System (Fig. 10.1).
