In this paper John studies solutions of a partial differential equation with constant coefficients, of order m,

in a one-sided neighborhood of the origin in x n ≥0, satisfying boundary conditions of the form
$${\left( {\begin{array}{*{20}{c}} \partial \\ {\partial {x_n}} \end{array}} \right)^k}{u_{{x_n} - 0}} = 0,0$$
