Abstract

Deformities of the nasal tip following trauma are usually obvious at first glance. A detailed and thorough knowledge of the anatomical framework and how the different structures in the lower third of the nose are related is a vitally important step in the overall reconstruction. Although these injuries are highly visible, they can also result in functional problems, especially if the injury results in nasal stenosis or collapse of the nasal valves. Various techniques are available to correct these complex deformities. Some are described here.
