Abstract

Hair loss following trauma is different from hair loss due to balding. The underlying and surrounding skin is usually damaged and scarred to some extent. Management needs to take this into account. Depending on the site of hair loss and the extent of hair loss, a number of strategies exist. Some of these will be discussed with emphasis on follicular unit hair transplantation (FUT).
