Abstract

In this chapter we discuss bidding strategies of GENCOs in electricity generation markets. First of all we give an introduction to the generation auction markets in 13.1 and then present the methodologies of bidding decision-making in 13.2. Section 13.3 and 13.4 describe two bidding models proposed for pool-based single-period market and day-ahead market respectively.
