Bloody Poetry was commissioned by Foco Novo Theatre Company and presented at the Haymarket Theatre, Leicester, 1 October 1984, in a production directed by Roland Rees.1 It was revived as one of Brenton’s 3 Plays for Utopia at the Royal Court Theatre, directed by Max Stafford-Clark, 7 April 1988.
