Abstract

One afternoon I wended my way to Warwick Crescent to see the friend of my childhood, Miss Browning. She was not much altered, and as lively as ever. She was sitting in the drawing-room, so picturesquely furnished with tapestries on the walls, carved oak furniture, and works of art.
