Abstract

Some preliminary developments toward a computational theory of systems has been presented with the following points.

1. A theoretical frame with taxonomy of levels and dual formulation (processors/processes) general enough to represent systems behaviour in the case in which the analitical and logical formulations are not sufficient to cope with the richness of KBS systems.

2. Several examples from neurophysiology, digital signal and expert systems in oncology has been used to illustrate the usefulness of the computational frame.

3. A desideratum, as our goal in the long term has been stated: formulation of reasoning and knowledge use in terms of physics (analogic and/or logic) formulation.
