Towards an Ontological Analysis of the Alignment Problems of Fields in the Architecture of an Information System

Abstract

The different fields of the company must be described with tools and languages that respond well to its needs and requirements. However, existing architecture techniques are based on limited models, due to a lack of resources to ensure consistency and traceability between the organization’s different domains and users. In addition, the governance models of the company’s information systems processes are multiple but lack content analysis. To do this, it is necessary to base a good analysis to assess its quality and conformity in order to avoid any form of immensity, imprecision, uncertainty, inconsistency, and fraud. This article attempts to study and compare three approaches used in the architecture of the company’s information system to infer the alignment problems encountered in the areas of the latter. These problems mainly concern the integration of languages, the tools for describing the processes gathered in the domains and the automated analysis of its models. This work uses ontologies to align the different fields, through deductive reasoning and inference leading to a particular conclusion in order to successfully analyze existing models.
