Abstract

Two series of experiments were conducted to investigate the performance of gravel nourishment for the beach encountering erosion problem. The effect of gravel nourishment was obtained by comparing the results of beach profile variation in the series of hydraulic experiments. The key findings in this research are the influence of armoring-effect and mixture-effect in sediment transport. The results of this study could be the insight and recommendation in solving the beach erosion problem.
