Abstract
Carcinoma of anal canal is usually squamous cell carcinoma and has shown significant association with human papillomavirus. The tumors can be broadly classified into anal cancer and anal margin. The peak incidence age for anal cancer is in the sixth decade of life. The chapter discusses about history taking, clinical examination, and work-up for a patient with carcinoma anal canal. The practical planning aspects including 2D and IMRT are also discussed.
