Abstract

Recent years saw the rapid income growth of peasants. In particular, since 2010, peasants’ income growth rate has overtaken that of urban residents for three consecutive years. Whether the good momentum of peasants’ sustained income growth can be maintained and urban-rural income gap can be further reduced has become the focus of attention of all parties as well as the key to whether China can smoothly over-leap the Middle Income Trap.
