Abstract

This article presents the design and building of an adjustable height structure for the assisted feeding of people with osteoarthritis. The project will improve the quality of life of these patients. The design is governed by the INEN (Ecuadorian Standardization Service) norm. The fundamental criteria in the document are oriented to create and size a mechanical structure matching with the anthropometric measurements of the users. The parameters include the feeding area, mechanism materials, and the correctly defining a height adjustment.
