Abstract
This chapter describes the different types of private universities in Germany and provides guidance on how to decide which university to attend. It further highlights the earning potential that a degree obtained in Germany offers in the local market. It looks at the average annual income for alumni of various academic disciplines based on employment data across different disciplines and industries. This chapter shows that a degree from a leading private German university offers a substantial return on investment. In addition, company representatives, education experts and alumni share their experience and opinions on whether private tertiary education “Made in Germany” pays off.
