Abstract
The concluding chapter of the book reiterates its key argument about understanding anti-trafficking not only as an important set of state and non-state responses to the problem of migrant exploitation but also as self-referential discursive and practical formation. By way of illustrating the truth effects of this formation, the chapter illustrates these effects by way of two detailed vignettes. The chapter makes some final reflections on possibilities for a more progressive anti-trafficking movement that engages with the needs and experiences of migrants themselves.
