Abstract
This chapter intends to highlight the intrinsic relationship between Veda and Vaiśeṣika. Veda is held to be the source and sustaining force in Indian philosophical tradition. Accordingly almost all the schools of Indian philosophy hold Veda as supreme authority in case of doubt and disputation. Therefore, the influence of Veda on Vaiśeṣika philosophy in general and in theorization of its concepts in particular is being discussed in the present chapter.
