Abstract
Children with liver disease have a higher risk of infections which is multifactorial, including defects to the immune system- both innate and adaptive, healthcare interventions, and presence of co-morbidities. The usual foci of infection are the peritoneum, the respiratory and urinary tract, and a syndromic approach is often the best approach to improving outcomes.
