Abstract
Nearly forty percent of gas wells in Daqing Oil Field have been producing water, resulting in reduced production and increased cost. Reasonable measures are required to improve drainage gas efficiency of these wells. Based on the influencing factors of drainage gas recovery process, efficiency could be improved in three aspects, including optimizing drainage gas recovery process, optimizing drainage gas recovery project design, and improving the quality of materials and equipments. An optimal recovery process is selected by comprehensive analysis of process characteristics, well parameters, and economic benefits. Recovery projects are individually designed to ensure the high performance, safety, and economy of the projects. Materials and equipments are checked and tested to support smooth implement of the projects. By doing so, drainage gas recovery is improved. Results from optimized recovery in Q block of Daqing Oil Field show that an accumulative increased production of 2.2 × 107 m3 has been achieved, economic benefit is 22 million RMB, and input–output ratio is 1:5.
