Abstract
Considering the population aging all over the world, that leads to an increasing rate of Alzheimer’s troubles, patients suffer from problems, like restless sleep for instance, which causes recurring falls. Such falls can be seen as a disease marker and thus could help diagnosis. This new field of research is known as Human Health Monitoring. The developed systems must be able to provide in real time information about weakness and vulnerability of elderly people. This paper presents the design of an electronic patch dedicated to the monitoring of elderly suffering from Alzheimer disease. This device ensures falls detection and geolocation in the case of fugues via GPS with the integration of wireless charging function. Different antennas were simulated and fabricated simultaneously with the PCB patch to reduce the total cost and present quite good simulated and measured performances.
