Summary

Esterase in the blood serum of pigs was studied by means of starch gel electrophoresis. We found three regions with esterase activity. The second (middle) region is polymorphic, represented by three different phenotypes A, B and AB. We assume their genetic determination by two codominant alleles EsA and EsB.
