Summary
The sera of more than 1500 adult mink from three sources were examined for presence of agglutinins. Antibodies against six red cell antigens; A, A2, B, B2, C and E (Rapacz and Schackelford, 1966) were detected by the use of saline agglutination tests. Numerous sera with unidentified antibodies, usually of very low titre, were found. Normal antibodies were found in several mink sera following vaccination for virus enteritis: with this exception antibodies were found in the sera of females only after the pregnancy period and usually against the blood antigens of the male to which they had been mated.
