Abstract
It is curious that sleep, an activity that occupies one-fourth to one-third of our lives, is accorded so little time in medical education. Knowledge about sleep is clinically helpful. Sleep problems are common, some are very disturbing, and one (sleep apnea) can even be fatal. In one study [1] of 1,006 randomly selected adults, the prevalence of current or previous sleep disorders was 52.1%
