Abstract
Technical service is an important and integral part of the marketing of both raw materials and finishes within the surface coatings industry. Through technical service, the benefits and most appropriate use of a company’s products are defined to assist in making the sale. By examining the basic functions in a typical technical service operation, the important position of this function in marketing may be understood. The main activities are:
