Abstract
CCD images and photographic spectra of Seyfert galaxies have been recently obtained by the authors at the Cassegrain focus of the 2.2m, F/8 telescope of the Calar Alto Observatory (D.S.A.Z.). The main purposes of the observing programme were essentially three:
-
1)
To obtain medium resolution spectra and high quality images of interacting active nuclei in order to study in detail their physical and morphological features and to verify whether nuclear activity can be related to some external disturbances.
-
2)
To monitor some previously observed Seyfert-1 galaxies in order to detect changes in their emission line spectra.
-
3)
To verify the spectral features of some objects remarkable within the Seyfert class for their peculiar line profiles and/or intensity line ratios.
