Zusammenfassung

Meine Ausführungen werden sich auf das Krankheitsbild des viszeral generalisierten Lupus erythematodes beziehen, auf jene Form der schweren Allgemeinerkrankung also, die seit ihrer Beschreibung durch Kaposi 18721 zunächst vorwiegend den Dermatologen bei Fällen von kutanem Erythematodes bekannt war. Erst 1924 haben Libman und Sacks als anatomisches Substrat bei solchen Kranken eine charakteristische Form der Endokarditis beobachtet. In den letzten Jahrzehnten hat man sich besonders in Nordamerika mit der Erkrankung beschäftigt, offenbar deshalb, weil sie dort nicht selten vorkommt. Es war wohl vorwiegend die Kenntnis eines einzigen neuen serologischen Befundes, die das Interesse an ihr auch in Europa wieder wachgerufen hat, und der viszerale Lupus erythematodes wird heute — sicher mit Berechtigung — öfter in diagnostische Erwägungen einbezogen, als dies früher der Fall war.
