Erst durch das Verständnis der »normalen« Physiologie der Bauchorgane und der zugehörigen Strukturen lassen sich die pathophysiologischen Veränderungen beim akuten Abdomen ableiten. In diesem Kapitel werden die Grundzüge der regulären abdominellen Physiologie besprochen.
