Zusammenfassung
Leitlinien haben in den letzten zwei Jahrzenten in ihrer Bedeutung und in ihrer Anzahl kontinuierlich zugenommen. Primär werden diese für die meist ärztliche Entscheidungsfindung in spezifischen klinischen Situationen entwickelt. Im Bereich der Frauenheilkunde stehen inzwischen Leitlinien eines hohen Evidenzlevels zur Verfügung, die sowohl klinische als auch gesundheitspolitische Bedeutung erlangt haben.
