Zusammenfassung
Die moderne Dienstleistungsforschung blickt inzwischen auf eine Historie von etwa 30 Jahren zurück, in denen Forschungsergebnisse häufig durch die Sichtweisen verschiedener Teildisziplinen – wie etwa Service Marketing & Management, Wirtschaftsinformatik, Informatik und den Ingenieurwissenschaften (hier maßgeblich dem Maschinen- und Anlagenbau) – geprägt worden sind. Während diese Teildisziplinen eine jeweils durch die eigene Tradition geprägte Sichtweise auf die Untersuchung und Gestaltung von Dienstleistungen und Dienstleistungssystemen eingenommen haben, verdichten sich die Anzeichen, dass nunmehr ein zunehmend einheitlicher Begriffs-, Methoden- und Theorieapparat in einer sich konsolidierenden interdisziplinären Dienstleistungsforschungsdisziplin (engl. Service Science) entsteht. Ein Beispiel für eine integrierte Sichtweise stellt die Etablierung von Smart Service Systems dar, d. h. Dienstleistungssystemen, in denen Dienstleistungskunden und Dienstleistungsanbieter mithilfe digital vernetzter Objekte interagieren, ihre Ressourcen kombinieren und Leistungsergebnisse kooperativ erstellen. Ausgehend von disziplinspezifischen Sichten und Grundkonzepten der Dienstleistungsforschung diskutiert der Beitrag ausgewählte Wirkmechanismen von Smart Service Systems und systematisiert die Kernergebnisse der in diesem Kapitel zusammengestellten Forschungsbeiträge vor diesem Hintergrund.
