In diesem Kapitel … lernst du, wie wichtig Selbstdisziplin ist und warum sie ein wichtiger und wertvoller Bestandteil unseres Erfolgs und aller Bereiche unseres Lebens ist. Sie ist deshalb so wichtig, weil Menschen mit Selbstdisziplin und Selbstbeherrschung ihre Ziele hartnäckig verfolgen und sich nicht von Hindernissen und Ausreden von ihrem Weg abbringen lassen. Ob du an deinem Ziel ankommen wirst, hängt hauptsächlich davon ab, ob du die nötige Disziplin, das erforderliche Durchhaltevermögen und den notwendigen Mumm hast. Deshalb brauchen wir Selbstdisziplin, weil wir dadurch an unseren Entscheidungen und Zielen festhalten können, bis wir sie umgesetzt haben. Selbst dann, wenn es schwer wird und uns nach Aufgeben zumute ist. Jedes Ziel erfordert Anstrengung und harte Arbeit, so viel ist klar. Bringst du das, was du angefangen hast, auch zu Ende? Was machst du, wenn der Weg holprig wird? Hast du schon einmal einen Neujahrsvorsatz gebrochen? Lass uns schauen, wie du deine Selbstdisziplin stärken kannst.
