Zusammenfassung
Photonische integrierte Schaltungen (PICs) sind elektronischen Schaltungen bezüglich Datenübertragungsrate und elektromagnetischer Verträglichkeit überlegen. Obwohl sich einige Forschungsgruppen mit dem Drucken optischer Wellenleiter und der Integration von Strahlquellen auf das Substrat beschäftigen, ist die vollständige Integration von PICs noch nicht gelungen. Effiziente Lichtkoppler sind eines der fehlenden Elemente bei dieser Integration. Das Hauptproblem von konventionellen integrierten Kopplungsmethoden ist die niedrige Kopplungseffizienz. Als Lösungsansatz wird hier die additive Fertigung multischichtiger Gradient-Index-Linsen (GRIN-Linse) aus optischen Photopolymeren als Koppler dargestellt. Das Design aus mehreren Schichten ist prädestiniert zum Aufbau in einem Verfahren der additiven Fertigung und bietet somit ein hohes Maß an Integrationsoptionen. Die optischen und räumlichen Parameter der Struktur werden mittels Zemax optimiert und so ausgelegt, dass das Licht von der Strahlquelle in den gedruckten optischen Wellenleiter gekoppelt wird.
