Therapie von Schmerzstörungen im Kindes- und Jugendalter

Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel fokussiert auf die organisatorischen und strukturellen Voraussetzungen sowie die therapeutische Vorgehensweise einer Schmerztherapie bei Kindern, die an einer chronischen Schmerzstörung leiden. Insbesondere wird das wissenschaftlich evaluierte stationäre Schmerztherapieprogramm des Deutschen Kinderschmerzzentrums (DKSZ) vorgestellt, das sowohl für Kinder geeignet ist, die unter einer monosymptomatischen Schmerzstörung leiden, als auch für Kinder, die neben der Schmerzstörung komorbide andere psychische oder schwere organische Erkrankungen haben. Nach der Darstellung von Organisation und Struktur werden spezielle Aspekte der Edukation anhand von Fallbeispielen erläutert, bevor verschiedene Schmerzbewältigungstechniken, hilfreiche Strategien und Vorgehensweisen anschaulich vermittelt werden. Erprobte Vorschläge zum engmaschigen Einbezug des familiären Systems sowie zum Vorgehen bei Krisen und Rückfällen vermitteln praktisches Wissen im Umgang mit den familiären Systemen und unvorhergesehenen Situationen.
