Zusammenfassung
Eine erhöhte Komplexität und steigende Belastungen kennzeichnen die heutige Arbeitswelt und machen Selbstmanagementkompetenzen nötiger denn je (Graf 2012). Die Arbeitnehmerin oder der Arbeitnehmer muss sich organisieren, um eben diesen Anforderungen im Job standhalten zu können und gleichzeitig noch genug Ressourcen für das Leben außerhalb des Berufs übrig zu haben (Graf 2012). „Ziel des Selbstmanagements ist es, die eigene Leistungsfähigkeit und Leistungsbereitschaft kurz- und langfristig zu fördern und zu erhalten und im Leben Wohlbefinden und Balance zu ermöglichen.“ (Graf 2012, S. 17). Ein wesentlicher Aspekt der beruflichen und privaten Handlungskompetenz ist die Entdeckung und die Entwicklung eigener Stärken und Ressourcen. In Anbetracht des heutigen beschriebenen Anforderungsprofils gerät das menschliche Wohlbefinden immer mehr in den Fokus. Als ein weiterer Baustein der beruflichen Handlungskompetenz ist das Networking anzusehen, also der Aufbau und die Pflege eines sozialen Netzwerks.
