Zusammenfassung

Die klinische Versorgung von Früh- (FG) und Neugeborenen (NG) hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren ständig weiterentwickelt. Während gesunde NG weiterhin primär durch Hebamme und Geburtshelfer versorgt werden, werden Risiko-NG und FG heute spezifisch ausgebildeten Neonatologen anvertraut. Auch sehr unreife FG ≤ 24 Schwangerschaftswochen und kranke NG mit angeborenen Fehlbildungen werden heutzutage betreut. Bildgebend kommen dabei postnatal Verfahren wie Ultraschall und die konventionelle Röntgendiagnostik zum Einsatz, vermehrt werden aber auch die Magnetresonanztomographie (MRT) und selten sogar die Computertomographie (CT) durchgeführt. Kurz wird hier auf aktuelle Neuerungen und Entwicklungen aus dem Bereich der Neonatologie eingegangen.
