Zusammenfassung
Die Thoraxwand umschließt beide Lungen. Neben dem Übergreifen von pathologischen Prozessen von den Lungen gibt es verschiedene Erkrankungen des knöchernen Thorax, die in der Röntgenthoraxaufnahme auffällig werden können. Die große Gruppe der Skelettdysplasien manifestiert sich häufig am Thorax durch auffällige Konfiguration von Rippen und Brustwirbelsäule. Auch entzündliche Erkrankungen manifestieren sich an der Pleura. Die umfassende Bewertung der Röntgenthoraxaufnahme erfordert die Beurteilung von Thoraxwand und Pleura.
