Abstract

Lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer death worldwide. The management of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) requires a multidisciplinary approach to diagnose, stage, and address patients to a correct therapy. In the last few years, the advent of FDG PET/CT has dramatically influenced the staging, the treatment, and the follow-up of NSCLC patients. Main applications of PET/CT are evaluation of pulmonary lesions, staging, response to treatment assessment, and follow-up of patients with NSCLC.
