Zusammenfassung

Die Einteilung der Urtikaria erfolgt unter zeitlichen Gesichtspunkten (akut bzw. chronisch) und hinsichtlich der Auslösefaktoren (spontan, physikalisch induzierbar, sonstige). Eine umfangreiche Diagnostik ist heute nicht mehr notwendig. Therapie der ersten Wahl ist in allen Fällen die Gabe nicht-sedierender H1-Antihistaminika. Der rekombinante humanisierte Antikörper gegen das Immunglobulin E, Omalizumab ist heute das Therpeutikum der 2. Wahl. Obwohl seine Zulassung lediglich für die chronisch spontane Urtikaria gilt, ist er auch bei den übrigen Formen der Urtikaria wirksam.
