Zusammenfassung
Sozialisation bedeutet, dass Organisationen versuchen, ihre Mitarbeiter an die bestehenden Werte anzupassen. Gravitation heißt, Menschen mit ähnlichen Wertorientierungen werden durch ähnliche Organisationen angezogen. Besonders stark ist der sozialisierende Einfluss der Kollegen, der informell wirksam wird. Durch die Zuordnung geeigneter Rollenmodelle und die Anerkennung der Identität neuer Mitarbeiter wird deren Bindung an die Organisation erhöht (institutionelle Sozialisationstaktik). Im Sinne antizipierender Sozialisation wird die realistische Tätigkeitsvorausschau im Einstellungsgespräch wirksam. Einarbeitungsprogramme wie Traineeprogramme und die Zuweisung von Paten tragen im Unternehmen zur Sozialisation bei. Beim Mentoring unterstützt in einer persönlich gestalteten Beziehung der Mentor seinen Schützling bei der erfolgreichen Entwicklung im Unternehmen. Der Erfolg der Sozialisation wird gewöhnlich am Commitment und der Fluktuation bzw. der Kündigungsabsicht gemessen.
