Zusammenfassung
Als bedeutsame Formen der Gruppenarbeit können Qualitätszirkel, Projektgruppen, betriebliche Gesundheitszirkel, teilautonome Arbeitsgruppen, Fertigungsteams und klassische Arbeitsgruppen unterschieden werden. Diese Gruppenarbeitsformen werden hinsichtlich ihrer charakteristischen Merkmale beschrieben. Dabei wird erläutert, welche Gestaltungsbedingungen und -prinzipien zu beachten sind und wie sich die Formen bezüglich ökonomischer und psychologischer Kriterien bewährt haben. Außerdem werden wesentliche Leistungsdeterminanten der Gruppenarbeit auf der Basis eines Rahmenmodells der Gruppeneffektivität und empirischer Evidenzen dargelegt. Hierzu gehören die Zusammensetzung der Gruppe und die Gruppenkohäsion, die Gestaltung der Gruppenaufgabe und ihrer Motivierungspotenziale sowie die Art der Leistungsrückmeldung und Entlohnung im Rahmen der Gruppenarbeit. Abschließend werden Prinzipien zur Einführung von Gruppenarbeit und deren Gestaltung als Organisationsentwicklungsprozess vorgestellt.
