Zusammenfassung
Die ersten drei Abschnitte dieses Kapitels behandeln häufige dysphagische Störungen – anteriores und posteriores Leaking/Pooling, Residuen sowie laryngeale und nasale Penetrationen einschließlich der zugrunde liegenden Ursachen und wichtiger Folgen. Anschließend wird auf Ursachen und Konsequenzen von Aspirationen, den gefährlichsten Dysphagiefolgen, sowie auf direkte und indirekte Aspirationshinweise eingegangen. Der letzte Abschnitt beschäftigt sich eingehend mit stillen Aspirationen, wobei aktuelle Entstehungshypothesen ebenso diskutiert werden wie ihre speziellen Risiken. Zahlreiche Abbildungen und videoendoskopische sowie videofluoroskopische Filme ergänzen den Text mit typischen und eindrucksvollen klinischen Beispielen.
