Abstract
Breast reduction remains as one of the most commonly performed procedures in plastic surgery. Recent refinements in technique have focused on reducing the scar burden and maximizing the quality of the aesthetic result. The short scar periareolar inferior pedicle reduction or SPAIR mammaplasty is one such technique. By combining an inferior pedicle with a circumvertical skin pattern, an effective, safe, and predictable technique for the treatment of macromastia is provided that provides aesthetic and long-lasting results.
