Zusammenfassung
Pflanzliche Vielfalt stellt für den Menschen eine wichtige Ressource dar (Abschn. 1.1). Der Mensch hat einen gravierenden Einfluss auf die Natur und verändert Lebensräume, Herkünfte und pflanzliche Wachstumsbedingungen nachhaltig, was auch von gesellschaftspolitischer Relevanz ist. Deshalb bedarf es des Naturschutzes.

Homologien bestehen, wenn sie evolutionär auf einen gemeinsamen Bauplan eines gemeinsamen Vorfahrens zurückgehen. Dabei müssen die Merkmale 1) eine gleiche Lage im Gefügesystem aufweisen, 2) übereinstimmende oder vergleichbare Feinstrukturen aufweisen und 3) durch Zwischen- oder Übergangsformen miteinander verbunden sein.

Ähnlichkeiten in einzelnen Merkmalen die auf keinen gemeinsamen evolutionären Ursprung zurückzuführen sind.
