Zusammenfassung
Die Implementierung von POCT-Verfahren im Krankenhaus ist nicht allein zwischen den klinischen Abteilungen und dem Zentrallabor zu verhandeln, befriedigende Lösungen ergeben sich auf Dauer nur, wenn alle Teilnehmer am POCT-Prozess in den Entscheidungsprozess und in die Lösung auftretender Probleme und Konflikte eingebunden werden. Um POCT sowohl medizinisch und ökonomisch sinnvoll als auch gemäß den gesetzlichen Regelungen zur Qualitätssicherung zu organisieren, empfiehlt die DIN ISO 22870 eine POCT-Kommission zu berufen, die von einem POCT-Koordinator geleitet wird. Der POCT-Koordinator hat dabei umfangreiche Aufgaben und muss sich um räumliche Voraussetzungen, Geräteauswahl, Analytik, Methodenvergleiche, Datenverarbeitung der Ergebnisse und Schulung/Qualifizierung der POCT-Anwender kümmern. Oberstes Ziel ist stets die Sicherstellung der Qualität von POCT-Untersuchungen zum Wohle des Patienten.
